Led a comprehensive redesign of the Axios mobile app design system, leveraging Figma's latest features to create scalable components, improve design-to-development handoff, and increase team velocity.

Axios is a news website with a mission of efficient news worthy of user’s time, attention and trust. They cover local news, politics, health, media and more.

The challenge

Time management and advocation for design systems work against limited time resouces and ongoing/in-flight projects.

Outcomes

Overhauled a dated design system with the latest (2023/2024) technology provided by Figma, working in partnership with our React Native engineers.
